Google's NotebookLM Expands Language Support for Video and Audio Overviews

NotebookLM is now even more accessible to a global audience, thanks to expanded language support for its Video and Audio Overview features. Google announced that Video Overviews now support 80 languages, including major languages like French, German, Spanish, and Japanese.
Multilingual Video Summaries
Last month, NotebookLM introduced Video Overviews, allowing users to transform their documents, PDFs, and images into concise video presentations. Initially available only in English, this tool now empowers non-English speakers to learn from visual summaries in their native languages. This opens up new avenues for learning and knowledge sharing across linguistic boundaries.
Enhanced Audio Summaries in Multiple Languages
Audio Overviews are also receiving a significant upgrade. Previously, non-English audio summaries were limited to brief highlights, with in-depth versions only available in English. Now, users can access detailed audio overviews in over 80 languages. For those who prefer a quick recap, a shorter overview option remains available.
These enhancements demonstrate Google's commitment to making NotebookLM a truly global learning tool. Users can now efficiently learn through video and audio summaries, regardless of their preferred language.
The updates are rolling out globally starting today and will be available to all users within the next week.
